Wilderness Wonders

Wilderness Wonders

The winds of the highland have beckoned me here.
The rocks are my castles in the pure mountain air.
They carry my dreams to the blue heaven sky.
Whatever my feelings they never ask why.

There's a cry of coyote in the dark verdent wood.
He answers a whisper from an evergreen hood.
There's a whiporwill whistling her song of aclaim.
They all know I'm here but they'll not ask my name.

For it's all of the treasures the earth has to give.
Oh where on this planet should we choose to live?
Far away from the freeway and the big city sound,
Wilderness wonders are found.

Where moon shadow mysteries hide in the night.
Where sunshine's a promise of flourishing life.
Where deep in the spirit of sunshine and rain,
The forest may never ask me to explain.

For it's all of the treasures the earth has to give.
Oh where on this planet should we choose to live?
Far away from the freeway and the big city sound,
Wilderness wonders are found.
