Guadalupe Mountains National Park
Arthropod Site Photo Copyright and Use Policy

This is a personal web site and is not affiliated with the National Park Service or Guadalupe Mountains National Park. All the images presented were taken by me and are owned by me. I retain the copyright on all the photographs presented here.

Permission is granted to the staff at Guadalupe Mountains National Park to reproduce / modify any of these photographs by any means for Park promotional displays or educational presentations (including those that might be Web based). In fact some of the images presented here have been used in the Electronic Ranger programs produced by volunteers Bill and Sandy Hood for Guadalupe Mountains National Park, Carlsbad Caverns National Park and Arches National Park.

School teachers may use the images for lessons or classroom purposes. Elementary and secondary school students as well as university students may use the images for their notes, presentations, reports or projects. If an image is used in a thesis, presented paper or material which is eventually published in print or electronically (e.g. in a web document), a photo credit should be given. If you use or plan to use an image, I would appreciate being notified. It is useful to me to learn how the images are being used. For example, several of the katydid images are in use on the Singing Insects of North America website.

Reproduction in works for which you are being paid, on contract or as part of your job, that are, or will be, for sale or distribution is by written agreement only. It is expected that any such works would include, at the very least, a photo credit in some form. In general I can provide a higher quality image on request.

If you need an image for another use or have a question about your planned use, feel free to drop me a line.

Thanks,

Ron Lyons
